K N Raj Library, Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, India is now one of the leading social science research and reference libraries in the country with a rich collection of 1,60,000 items comprising of books, journals, publications of other research institutes (national and international) and government publications.

The Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram is an autonomous research institute. Its main objective is to promote research, teaching and training in disciplines relevant to development. Established in 1971 by the noted economist Late Professor K. N. Raj, it is considered to be one of the foremost development economics research centers in the country. It has a faculty of about 26. The core activities of the CDS are research, teaching and training.
